i was told he found a home who will let him live out the rest of his life in a field,
being a horse.

so long to a horse who gave me company when i knew no other horses in the program, and knew no other students.
so long to a horse who stood still for 4 hours in the middle of january, shivering, while we clipped his winter coat off.
so long to a horse who let me bury my face into his neck the day of my first equine class, when i was terrified of what i was about to walk into.
so long to a horse who single handedly (hoofedly) broke me into the equine department i've now come to call home.
so long lucas. i hope you live out a long, peppermint filled life like you truly deserve.
